Earlier in the morning Paul Crute of the Scunthorpe Telegraph announced that there was a player on trial with the Iron, and that player is Toumani Diagouraga, according to speculation.
The 30-year-old – who made a name for himself during a six-year stay with Brentford – was released by Championship side Leeds United earlier in the summer.
Diagouraga spent one-and-a-half season’s with Leeds, having signed for the Whites in January 2016.
He would make 18 league appearances for the club, scoring twice – and spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town, where he played 12 times.
It was fellow Scunthorpe United blog, Iron Bru, who delivered the news as an exclusive on their site.
The report comes in the same hour that it was rumoured that Bolton Wanderers were planning to bid for Josh Morris.
If there are any confirmed movements, or solid rumours before the end of the day, Any Old Iron is the place to come.
