Scunthorpe United’s new ground proposals

First of all I apologise for the lateness of my posting of this article. I’ve had an absolutely mad Christmas that flew by and I now find myself back at work and massively behind with the site. But fear not, a mini new year’s resolution for me is to update the site at least once week (depending on whether there is anything interesting going on at SUFC at that time of course). Basically things get a little stale in the Summer and it can be hard to find things to write about. Plus everyone will be watching the World Cup anyway! #ComeOnEngland

So there has been talks about the rapid progression of the proposed stadium for a few weeks now. At the recent shareholders meeting there were images shown to all in attendance of what Peter Swann’s vision is. And although at that time the pictures were not allowed to be released to the general public we were told to be excited by those who had indeed seen them. Then last week we all finally got a glimpse of what could be our new home in less than two years. And what an absolute beauty she looks!:

Since the release of the images the reaction amongst the majority of Iron fans has been one of great excitement. The announcement came at the perfect time with the on-field results being positive too it has been a great Christmas for Iron fans.

The stadium is expected to cost in the region of 18 Million pounds.
