As expected, Scunthorpe striker Kyle Wootton has left the club to join National League side Notts County on a permanent deal.
Wootton has enjoyed a very successful loan spell with County in the past four months, where he has scored on 12 occasions from 25 appearances.
The move brings to an end a 13-year association with the Iron, where he came through the academy from the age of 10.
It is felt amongst the majority of the United fanbase that Wootton was not quite up to the level the club expect of their strikers, albeit commitment had never been in question.
The move works for both parties, with County pushing for promotion in the Conference, and the Iron finding a perfectly-suited club to propel his career.
It seems the news has been welcomed warmly in Nottingham:
Good luck Kyle.
