The Iron have announced the season-long loan of Rotherham United forward Jamie Proctor – but he may not be the only business the club reveal today.
Proctor joins after making 16 appearances for the Millers in the Championship last season, scoring four goals in all competitions.
The forward has also featured five times this season, largely being used as a substitute for the League One promotion candidates.
The signing follows the news that Kyle Wootton has joined National League side Notts County on a season-long loan.
Wootton had made five appearances for United this season, but was struggling for confidence, and a loan away will do the youngster well.
In other news, Proctor is not likely to be the only transfer in for the Iron today, with Scunthorpe director Chris Swann hinting that this was just the start.
Scunthorpe Live journalist also revealed he has heard there could be another player in today.
Welcome Jamie, we look forward to a blossoming partnership with fellow newcomer George Miller.
Also, the very best of luck to Kyle at Notts – bang them in lad.

*UPDATE*
Iron Bru say no more signings until we shift a few. It could be an interesting end to the summer transfer window – watch this space.
