The Iron are on the verge of signing Shrewsbury Town winger Abo Eisa, according to a report from the local press.
Iron winger Adam Hammill has been linked with a permanent move away from North Lincolnshire before the transfer deadline, which gives much more credibility to the rumour that United are trying to fill that gap with Eisa.
Scunthorpe Live journalist’s Paul Crute and Charlie Wilson were the men to report the news on Tuesday afternoon, when they tweeted:
Eisa signed for the Shrews in January 2018, and has gone on to make ten appearances in League One during that time.
The winger did, however, spend the second half of last season on loan with fellow League Two side Colchester United, where he featured 14 times scoring twice.
