Hakeeb Adelakun has thanked the Scunthorpe faithful for their support during his time with the club, after Bristol City unveiled the talented 21-year-old as their latest signing.
We reported that Haks had turned down the contract offered by United at the start of June, and the winger has now found his permanent home, signing a three-year deal with the Robins.
In a series of tweets posted on his personal Twitter account, Haks spoke of his gratitude to the United fans, players and staff over the years in North Lincolnshire.
Today a chapter closes. I’ve shared some fantastic moments with @sufcofficial over my time with the club and want to thank the the staff and manager (old and new) for helping me develop into the player I am today. I wish the club all the best for the up coming season! 👊🏾 #UTI— Haks Adelakun (@hakeeb_adelakun) July 2, 2018

However…It’s the fans that I would like to thank most! You made playing for your club a family experience and I felt at home from the moment I arrived. In our best moments it was you who made me feel on top of the world 🌍 and for this I thank you!— Haks Adelakun (@hakeeb_adelakun) July 2, 2018
