Championship side Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in taking Scunthorpe target Ryan Yates on loan this summer.
Yates enjoyed a fruitful loan spell in North Lincolnshire during the second half of last season on loan from Nottingham Forest, and quickly became a fan favourite for his hardy and professional performances.
It’s no secret that Iron boss Nick Daws is interested in securing the return of Yates, who is believed to be available for loan.
However, should news of Bolton’s interest be true, the chance of Daws tempting the Forest prospect into dropping to League One over the Championship are slim.
The news of interest in the midfielder came courtesy of Nottingham Post journalist, Leigh Curtis, when he tweeted:
Hearing that Mansfield are interested in Otis Khan at Yeovil. And Bolton interested in Forest’s Ryan Yates.— Leigh Curtis (@LeighCurtis_NP) June 27, 2018
As much as we would love Yates to ‘come home’, it seems increasingly unlikely.
