The Iron have reportedly turned down a bid from an unnamed Championship club for star defender Murray Wallace.
The Scot has plenty of interest from further up the football pyramid, but thus far, only one of those sides have made a bid.
The news came courtesy of BBC Humberside journalist, Mike White, when he tweeted:
Understand Scunthorpe United have had interest from a number of clubs for Murray Wallace. Source tells me one bid from a Championship side has been knocked back. Have approached the club for comment but nobody has been available so far. #uti #sufc— Mike White (@mikewhitesport) June 6, 2018
The likelihood of Wallace moving on this summer is high, with the defender keen to play at a higher level than League One to improve his chances of getting a Scotland call-up.
Preston North End were linked in the past, but it is not yet known the identity of any of the club’s interested.
