Scunthorpe’s capable number two Rory Watson looks likely to start the play off semi final second leg against Rotherham United on Wednesday, after Matt Gilks’ injury in the first game.
Gilks picked up his bizarre injury whilst trying to start an Iron counter-attack – an injury that was quickly picked up by football pages on Twitter.

Talking to BBC Radio Humberside, Scunthorpe’s interim manager Nick Daws spoke of his doubt over Gilks’ fitness ahead of the all-or-nothing tie at the New York stadium.
“We are not sure about Matt at this stage, but am not going to hide the face he is a doubt.
“Matt came off with a knee injury, has been having treatment we will be keeping our fingers crossed.
“If he is not fit then Rory Watson is a more than able deputy and I have got every confidence in him. Either way we will go and try and win the game.”
