Scunthorpe keeping tabs on Villa youngster Suliman

The Iron are rumoured to be tracking Aston Villa youngster Easah Suliman, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Suliman made his senior debut for Aston Villa during the Carabao Cup tie against Wigan Athletic earlier in the season – but hasn’t featured for the first team since.

The Villains have a wealth of choice in defence, meaning the youngster has found game time hard to come by – and it is highly likely that Steve Bruce will be looking to send the player out on-loan during January.

Suliman plays at centre back primarily, which would make any move from the Iron a strange one – with five quality centre backs all fit and already at Graham Alexander’s disposal.

United’s rumoured interest may be down to whether Suliman can play at right back – a position Alexander is looking to fill after Jordan Clarke’s long-term injury.
