Iron youngster Kyle Wootton is back fit after suffering with an injury that has prevented him from so much as making the bench in his first month with Stevenage.
There had been suggestions that Wootton would leave United permanently earlier in the summer, before the 20-year-old signed a new two-year deal in late-July.
Despite the new deal, the forward found first team opportunities difficult to come by once more, and left the club to join Boro on loan until January on transfer deadline day.
His new side have started their League Two campaign strongly, sitting in 11th and a point off the Play Off’s, despite only picking up one point from their last three games.
Wootton will be hopeful that at the very least he will be handed a spot on the Boro bench when they face Morecambe on Saturday, as he looks to make debut.
There are two former Iron players – as well as Wootton – in the Stevenage ranks, with Jack King there after leaving the club in January, and Matty Godden who has been a huge success with Boro, and has been linked to a move up the football pyramid.
