Blackburn Rovers have announced that they will give Charlie Mulgrew and Craig Conway every chance possible to play in tomorrow night’s game with the Iron.
As things stand, it looks like Rovers will be without two of their most experienced players, however.
Mulgrew sustained an injury whilst on international duty with Scotland, and missed his side’s 3-0 victory over Rochdale on Saturday.
His team mate, Conway, was forced to withdraw from the game at Spotland mid-way through the second half, after an injury sustained to his hip.
Definite absentees for tomorrow night’s game include Ryan Nyambe and Scott Wharton who both have ankle knocks, whilst Darragh Lenihan is absent for two months after undergoing surgery on a broken foot.
“We are just looking at a few knocks,” said the Rovers boss Tony Mowbray.
“Craig Conway took a bang on the hip, we’ll check on Charlie Mulgrew today and see how much improve there has been. “But apart from that it won’t be too different from the weekend.
“Ryan Nyambe isn’t training yet but he is not too far away, he might be back on the grass in the next few days, and then it is a steady build-up from that.
8″He’s a fit lad so once he gets passed the pain threshold he should be able to push on pretty quickly and get back into the group. It isn’t a long-term injury, it is ten days to two weeks.”
