Scunthorpe United have announced the deadline day signing of Lee Novak on a two-year deal, after his release from Charlton Athletic.
We reported earlier that the deal was rumoured to be close, but the longer the night went on the more worried some Iron fans got – but worried they are no more.

“It’s been a long day. It was good to finally get it done just before the deadline.
“I’m 28 and have played a lot of games, and I will try and help in any way I can. We’ve got off to a good start.
“I want to contribute, get a few goals and help get points on the board. If we can do that then we’ll all be happy.”
The 28-year-old has been keeping his fitness up by playing reserve games, but believes he can hit the ground running for United.
“I’ve been playing in reserve games and scored, and also scored in the cup. I’m feeling up to speed and up to match fitness. I can’t wait for the challenge ahead.”
