Scunthorpe United have made a bid believed to be in the region of £200,000, for Sheffield United striker James Hanson, according to the Sheffield Star.
Any Old Iron first announced that the club were interested in the target man two weeks ago, before a follow up article where we suggested Graham Alexander was waiting to find out the extent of the strikers hamstring injury.
Despite Hanson suffering from the aforementioned injury, it seems Alexander is willing to look past that and get one of his key summer targets signed on the dotted line.
If the Sheffield Star are to be believed, it would appear United are now the favourites to sign the former-Bradford man.
Despite the reported offer, it remains to be seen whether Blades boss Chris Wilder would be willing to part with a player he only signed in January.
The news comes on the morning a day before transfer deadline day, and one thing is for sure, there is still business to be done at Glanford Park before the deadline slams shut.
