So after Saturday’s fantastic (yet unexpected) victory away at Portsmouth we find ourselves heading to Rochdale sitting nicely in 8th position, just outside the Play-offs. A win tonight would almost certainly catapult us into those play off places and that is somewhere that a new manager could only dream of picking a team up.
Rochdale have had a great start to the season themselves and are currently 3rd in the League and will be looking to continue their impressive home form, after they defeated Exeter City 3-1 at Spotland only 3 days ago.
The Iron have confirmed that they will be without Captain Micky Collins however we have no fresh injury concerns, which is a relief.
Eddie Nolan played a part at Pompey on Saturday and although he almost certainly won’t start tonight it was another positive return for us.
My preferred line-up tonight would be:
Slocombe, Dawson, Mirfin, Canavan, Ribs, RNL, Syers, McAllister, Adelakun, Burton & Winnall.
To any fans traveling to the game get there safely and let’s see the boys in claret and blue record yet another impressive scalp away from home.
UPPPP THE IRONNN!!
