Well out of the blue this afternoon the Iron decided to announce a cheeky little loan signing they’d made. Barnsley winger/striker Reuben Noble-Lazarus has signed on loan until after the Rochdale match in January. A highly rated youngster in Barnsley and still only 20 years of age, yet has made over 40 appearances for the Tykes so far in his career, notching 2 goals in the process.
I believe the Iron have lacked any form of raw pace in the side this season and this addition may just address that issue, and hopefully in the process create a more exciting style of play instead of the hoof ball we’ve had to get used to.
Rumours are that John Cofie, also of Barnsley, is also due to sign for the Iron. But we will believe this when we see it!
For now though I believe Brian Laws has made an encouraging signing and I look forward to seeing him in action against Accrington Stanley (Who are they?) on Saturday.
Also if you purchase the Scunthorpe Evening telegraph then make sure you keep an eye out for my latest article in the ‘Terrace talk’ section towards the back of the paper.
Up the Iron!
