Can we bounce back from a disappointing loss?

So on Tuesday night we lost to lowly Bury, one of one 2 teams who were actually lower than us in the table. Seems our frailties at Glanford Park are still there for all to see and this is something we need to turn around NOW before it is too late. It’s all well and good going to Coventry and getting a marvelous win there, but we are now 2 weeks later and in no better position than we were after that win.

Let’s back track to the game last Saturday against Notts County. This is a game where we were absolutely robbed, it’s almost cryable that we didn’t win this game. That absolute oxygen wasting scum of the earth tw*t Lee Hughes twice pegged us back after we took the lead initially through Ribiero and then through Mozika. The reason for the personal abuse to Hughes is this man single handedly got our Captain Paul Reid sent off for a barely yellow card bookable offence. Then he throttles Tom Newey and stays on the pitch. How? You just knew that because he’d stayed on the pitch he would score the equaliser when he should have been sent off, straight in his car and fudge off back to where you come from.

Phew I feel a little bit better after getting that off my chest! On to Tuesday night’s game vs Bury. A relegation 6 pointer you could say with both teams sitting in the bottom 4. Sadly this would be Brian Laws first defeat in the league since his comeback as manager. Fairplay to Bury who came and went at it for 90 minutes, they deserved their 3 points.

So now we look towards tomorrow’s local derby at Doncaster. Donny are having a good season currently sitting 4th in the League and could potentially jump into second with a win over us, although it would need to be a big win and rely on the teams around them to lose. The positive we can take into this game is Donny’s poor recent home form and our decent away record. Although we have not recorded a win against them in our previous 5 encounters Iron fans will feel it is our turn to get a derby win.

We are probably looking at taking between 800-1000 fans to the game which considering our league position is not too bad. To all Iron fans that are going make sure you raise your voices and cheer on the team to victory.

Come on you boys in Claret and Blue!
