Re-arranged fixture against Walsall tonight (21/02/2012)

The Iron head into tonight’s vital relegation clash on the back of two straight victories (how many times have we said that in the last two years eh???), and Iron fans can be forgiven for having an unusually high optimism running into this game.
Walsall (who are having a poor season as well as our lot) will also enter the game with high hopes as they will take courage in the fact that the Iron have won just 3 at home in the league all season, as well as on the back of a vital 2-0 victory over fellow strugglers Wycombe.
The Iron have no fresh injury worries and are looking increasingly certain to name the exact same squad as the one that brought 3 points back to Glanford Park on saturday, with the only possibility of a change in anyoldiron’s eyes being the switch between the goalscorer of the second goal (Barcham) coming in for Mark Duffy.
On a seperate note to the game taking place tonight I would like to say on behalf of everyone I travelled down to London with on Saturday to watch the game – A big thank you to the Boys, who rarely this season have had the mentality to come from behind and secure any points, but to come out in the second half a goal down and dominate (i’d say) the half, was magnificent to watch.
Here’s to one of this season’s greatest away days, and HERE’S TO TONIGHT, COME ON THE IRON!
