Scunthorpe United have announced that by the end of business Thursday, less than 48 hours before the crucial League One clash away to Exeter City: that we’ve sold less than 100 tickets for the away end.
With the amount quoted to be about, yet the club haven’t given an official number on the website – but a source very close to the club revealed that less than 3 figures had been sold, and they’d be pleasantly surprised if it crawled over 100 by Friday afternoon.
The tickets for the away end will remain on sale till 2PM on Friday afternoon, and it’s not a huge shock to have seen the Iron fail to see their 150 strong allocation for the away end.
These tickets are believed to grant supporters access to both the terracing section, and the seating segment (down the side) – but with their being such a short number: it’s not yet known how the Iron fans, or indeed – the stewards, will react.
The ticket prices are as follows:
Adult – £20
OAP – £13
U/18 – £7
The bus from the club also leaves Glanford Park at 7:30PM for any brave individuals booking their trip at the very last minute.

It is indeed the Iron’s very last game before Christmas, and possibly even – very last game outside the bottom 4: so do beware all making the longest trip of the League One season for us!
Tickets are also expected to be available on the day, so it’s hoped a few hardy souls may be able to make the trek down to the very South West from slightly nearer than South Yorkshire.
Let’s hope it’s the start of the kick start run that the Iron desperately need. Especially after 4 league defeats on the spin….
