Scunthorpe United have announced that half-season tickets will be on sale to guarantee supporters’ access to the rest of the games.
Since we’re exactly half-way through the Iron’s home game so far: the club have made headway – split the prices in half, and thus tried to whip up a bit of interest.
It is an extremely welcome promotion in flagging up interest from the fans’ – but with the Iron perched 5th bottom and back-to-back relegations definitely not out of the question, the best way to bring back fans would be if we started winning bloody games!
But in all seriousness, the half-season tickets come into effect post-Christmas. Thus, the first available game for it – is the very next home game for the Iron.
Specifically, that’s the home League One clash on Monday 26th December, Boxing Day, at home to Alan Knill’s old club – Bury.
For more information on it, see the club’s website, ring them on 0871 221 1899 – or pop down in person to the ticket office.
So let’s just hope that the offer drags through a fair few extra fans, and ties a few extra of us down: and that we can all see the Iron on to the wins that we so desperately bloody need.
And that can start this Saturday away to Exeter. No point waiting for the next home game!
Up the Iron!
