AFC’s Current Ground
Following being drawn against the League Two side on Sunday afternoon: all of the details surrounding the Iron’s clash with AFC Wimbledon have finally been released.
The Any Old Iron team first brought you news of the Iron’s allocation here: http://anyoldiron1.blogspot.com/2011/10/ticket-info-out-for-wombles-trip.html –
and it’s refreshing to finally be able to complete the rest of the jigsaw for all you Iron faithful out there.
Specifically, the prices of the tickets: and the coach travel details that are now also out as well. This hasn’t come a moment too soon as all the eager Iron supporters like you and I try to plan for the trip down to take on the Wombles.
And the club have also finally, and not a moment too soon: confirmed the date as well.
We all knew it would be – but they’ve nonetheless specified it to be taking place on Saturday 12th of November, with a 3:00pm kick off.
No doubt they’ll be telling us that bears defecate in woods too!
But don’t forget, they don’t actually play in Wimbledon: rather the recently reformed version of the old Wimbledon crazy gang: operate a groundshare with Kingsmeadow in Kingston-upon-Thames.
As such, the game will take place on Saturday 12th November, at the Cherry Red Records Stadium – which has a modest capacity of 5,194: with only 1,265 of that capacity taken up by seats.
From within that – the Iron have been given a fair away supporters allocation of exactly 700. Although, be warned: the vast majority of these tickets are for the terracing section of the away end.
A small number, (the club won’t specify the exact number sadly), are available for seating: but it’s best to book as early as possible to minimise the chances of disappointment.
The seating, and terracing sections of the away end operate different pricing structures: which are as follows:
Standing:
Adults: £15
Concessions*: £9
U/16s: £2
Seating:
Adults: £17
Concessions*: £10
U/16s: £6
*= Students & Over 65s
All tickets are avaulable in advance – with a limited number also anticipated to be available on the day for Iron fans to purchase. However, for both sides of the bargain – relevant identification will be expected.
The above tickets will be exclusively available to Season Ticket Holders on Wednesday & Thursday 3rd & 4th of November.
On Monday 7th, and Tuesday 8th of November – they will thus also be available to Iron members. Therefore – they will finally go on general sale on Wednesday 9th of November.
Season Ticket Holders & Iron Members will only be available to purchase a single ticket for each of their qualifications – and all tickets will remain on sale till 2:00pm on Friday 11th of November.
The Coach Travel details have also finally been released by the club for those travelling with the club: with the details available below.
It is also not yet known as to whether the Official Supporters Club will be running a coach to the game – contact Karen Lee for more details if required.
